Charlottesville, Virginia is located in central
Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge
Mountains. It is situated in the heart of
Virginia wine country, and its central location
in the state offers easy access to Washington,
DC and the Atlantic Ocean beaches.
Charlottesville is steeped in history and is the
home of Thomas Jefferson, our country’s third

Virginia. The area is also home to three other
past Presidents; James Monroe, James Madison,
and Woodrow Wilson.
The city of Charlottesville has a population of
approximately forty-five thousand people which
gives the feel of living in a small town while
enjoying the amenities of a much larger city.
The residents enjoy theaters, art museums, great
shopping, concerts, horse races, and major
college athletics.
Visitors to the area enjoy visiting the many
wineries, playing a round of golf, hot air
balloon rides, or taking a leisurely drive

along the scenic Skyline Drive or Blue Ridge
Parkway.
The downtown pedestrian walking mall, which has
been featured in Southern Living Magazine,

theaters, outdoor concerts, and year around ice
skating.
